Founder

After completing her undergraduate degree at McGill University, Sara Gaum pursued her passion for events and landed a job at SRO Events in Los Angeles. At SRO Events, Sara gained experience designing event décor, executing logistics, working with other event professionals and understanding the needs of clients. During an extremely busy month at the company involving numerous unique events including The Special Event 2007, the idea for VendorBar occurred. Sara recognized the need for individuals to find reputable vendors and for reputable vendors to be able to reach new clientele. Couldn’t there be a way to streamline the process of matching people with event professionals?

Sara decided to focus on VendorBar while attending the F.W. Olin School of Graduate School of Business at Babson College. With the help of classmates and teachers, Sara decided to pursue VendorBar full-time and, since graduating with honors in May 2009, has worked on making the website user-friendly for both our members and event professionals.

Our goal with VendorBar is to streamline the event planning process for you. We want you to be able to find reputable vendors that suit your needs. We want you to be able to enjoy your wedding, daughter’s Sweet 16, tailgating party or 40th anniversary by helping you keep track of all the pesky details. Most of all, we want to help you create an event that you love, regardless of the amount of time or money you have to spend planning it!

For Our Vendors
Our goal with VendorBar is to generate more business for you. We want the best vendors, regardless of company size or years in business, to receive more clients due to their superior customer service and quality products. This is why our vendor search function is based on the ratings of our members and why we believe your company should move to the top of the search results regardless of whether your company has a free or paid upgraded listing. Furthermore, we set the paid upgrade at an affordable $240 per year so that no vendor would be priced out of using the added features. In our opinion, the best vendors deserve to benefit by getting the most business.
